1. Issue
A certificate and card are issued only after a candidate completes an ISI course at an authorised centre and passes every theory and practical assessment. Each certificate carries a unique number that can be checked online.
2. Validity and renewal
- The validity period is printed on the certificate and card.
- Holders should renew before expiry by completing the renewal or refresher route set for their level.
- An expired certificate cannot be verified as current.
3. Verification
Employers and clients can verify a certificate, a centre accreditation or a membership on this website, on the Verify page. Always verify the number rather than relying on a printed copy.
4. Replacement
Lost or damaged cards can be replaced through the centre that issued them. The original certificate number stays the same.
5. Suspension and withdrawal
ISI may suspend or withdraw a certificate if it was obtained by fraud or error, if the card has been altered or misused, or after a substantiated complaint about the holder's competence. The holder is told the reason and may appeal.
